Why is the LED status light on my recorder red?

  • Solid red LED: Critical error. If possible, connect to the Configuration Tool and do a BIT test for more information. Contact [email protected] for additional assistance.

NOTE: If the Accel/Gyro self-test failed, it usually doesn’t require user action. It may be because the recorder is currently being moved (e.g. due to vibration in the aircraft or by being accidentally bumped)

  • Red flashing LED: Internal memory dump error. Prepare the SD card again in the Memory Access Utility, and make sure that the recorder has continuous power.

Vision 1000

Critical error. If possible, connect to the Configuration Tool and do a BIT test for more information. Contact [email protected] for additional assistance.

If an accelerometer BIT failed, it usually does not require user action. This can be because the Vision 1000 is currently being moved (e.g. due to vibration in the aircraft or by being accidentally bumped). If it is a recurring failure, contact Appareo Support.
