How do I retrieve data from the Vision 1000 internal memory if I have lost/damaged my SD card?

If the SD card was not in the Vision 1000 or if the SD card became corrupt and was not recording data, you still might be able to retrieve the flight data through the Vision 1000’s internal memory. In order to access the data from the Vision 1000’s internal memory, you must prepare the data using the Appareo Memory Access Utility. The Appareo Memory Access Utility for the Vision 1000 is automatically downloaded with the Vision 1000 Configuration Tool. Refer to the Vision 1000 Configuration Tool User’s Guide (600890-000011) for instructions on how to install the Vision 1000 Configuration Tool and Memory Access Utility. Documentation is found at https://www.appareo.com/aviation/vision-1000-docs/. After you have installed the Vision 1000 Configuration Tool, open the Appareo Memory Access Utility by double clicking on the Memory Access Utility icon on your desktop. If you don’t have a desktop shortcut:

  1. Click the Windows Start button on the lower left corner of your screen.
  2. Search for “Memory Access Utility for Vision 1000” using the search field.
  3. Click the Memory Access Utility program in the search results. Refer to the Appareo Memory Access Utility User’s Guide (600890-000010) for more details on how to use the software program. Documentation is found at https://www.appareo.com/aviation/vision-1000-docs/. Retrieved data can be reviewed using the Vision 1000 Playback Utility.
