FARGO, ND (1/05/10) – Appareo Systems, LLC is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a news conference for the Centers of Excellence program at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 6th at its new Fargo, ND headquarters building.
The Centers of Excellence program, championed by North Dakota governor John Hoeven as a way to combine education and economic development to create better paying jobs and new business opportunities has had a major impact on the North Dakota economy, bringing in significant amounts of money for programs around the state.
The news conference will feature Hoeven, NDSU professor of agribusiness and applied economics Dr. Larry Leistritz, ND commerce commissioner Shane Goettle, NDSU Research and Technology Park executive director Tony Grindberg and Appareo Systems’ Vice President of Business Development Jeff Johnson.
Dr. Leistritz will present the findings of his recent economic impact study on the effect of the Centers of Excellence program on North Dakota’s economy. Goettle will comment on the significant return on state funds and Grindberg will discuss the importance of the Centers of Excellence program on the state’s technology based economic development. Johnson will comment on the importance of the program in Appareo Systems’ recent success in the aerospace and defense industries.
Appareo’s new building is located on the NDSU Research Park campus at 1810 NDSU Research Circle Dr. N. in Fargo.
